Cancelled Game

This is actually very cool, even though there's nothing there yet. You said you did the voice acting yourself? Does the wav conversion give it that weird sound, or did you add that yourself? Either way, it's very well done. I hope you continue with this; it could be the most polished horror game here.

Disabling the LOAD prompt also disables the loading sound. Just leave SYSBEEP on.

What's with people not liking SYSBEEP being turned off?

It also controls keyboard sounds. Typing on the keyboard without sounds just feels... wrong... Edit: but disabling SYSBEEP doesn't warrant a downvote on an otherwise promising game...

Direct->type SYSBEEP=1-> move on with your day. :D

SYSBEEP does not disable the loading sound. That only plays when the dialog shows. (downvoted for ignorance)

You don't downvote a entire game just because of SYSBEEP = 0. That's like hating Zelda OoT because it has the letter Z in the title. I do this with every program I make because it is a habit. If it REALLY bothers you, goto line 1 and remove it. It's that simple. You just have to accept that's how I program and just deal with it. You're getting fussed over something so simple and small. Who's really the ignorant person here? The person who does things how they like it, or the person who hate one tiny aspect of how they do it?

Gonna say this in big boldface letters because it's relevant: YOU DONT NEED TO DISABLE SYSBEEP TO TURN OFF THE LOADING NOISE. AS LONG AS THE LOAD DIALOG IS TURNED OFF IT WONT PLAY THE NOISE.
