Happy Halloween! It's time for a raycaster game! This is a survival game filled with skellingtons, explosions, and of course, cats. Find the key and escape the maze, and if you rescue a cat you may get a reward... but watch your back! You never know what may be lurking in the shadows...

Instructions:

Controls: Circle Pad - Move X/B - Look up/down L/R - Strafe A - Throw bomb (hold to cook if unlocked) Y - Open gate D-Pad - Zoom map

Notes:

Includes the first release of the raycasting library.

Another very nice Game. Played it for a while last night. Very impressive and shows that SmileBasic will be able to do some vey neat things. Maybe a wolf3d. Personally I like this much better than wolf3d which has been done to death

Wow, great job calc. You did it again.

Wow, way better than my maze, nice job :D

Where did you get the raycaster?! Did you make it???

It is included as a separate program file, along with some hefty documentation in the comments. Enjoy!

K ,thanks.

Very nice! If I had to provide a critique, it's that bombs have a VERY specific explosion radius. I've had bombs land right next to a wall and it still didn't blow up. The upgrades help, but it's just kinda frustrating. Speaking of upgrades, it would help if the shop told you there were multiples of an upgrade to buy (like explosion size). I had to look at the code to figure this out. Other than those critiques, it's a solid and tense game for Halloween. You always know how to show your stuff!

Is still scary even after Halloween. Being trapped in some dirt maze with Undertale fans surrounding you. Makes for some nice bomb throwing gameplay. A fine addition to the small collection of 3D games produced by the community. also bombing cats makes you a soulless monster who deserves to perish so

This reminds me of doom. The 1993 game.

IT WAS AN ACCIDENT I DIDN'T WANT TO BOMB THAT CAT!!!

I liked this game until I realized you could throw bombs over walls, at which point I liked it even more but then I accidentally killed a cat by doing that so now I hate the game for letting me do that.

It seems more like Wolfenstein 3D to me!

Yeah that's the one, mystyman.

This is crazy. I guess I should stop working on my crappy wireframe engine :D Why don't you use the touch screen for aiming and the stick for moving/strafe?

L and R are for strafe. It's not as precise as it would be with the circle pad though.

I'm making an FPS using this engine, if anyone cares.....
