DescriptionThis is my Ogiri entry - NINJA SOLVER, a puzzle-solving adventure game. Fans of Professor Layton should feel right at home!
You play as AQ Arguro, a newbie ninja with a trusty feline partner Kate as they brave through challenges throughout their journey.
Hints are available in game so that everyone can reach the ending.
I'm still an SB beginner but I poured all what I learned so far in it!InstructionsAll controls are explained in game.
One save slot is available in this version.
Hit L to obtain a hint and R to see some random exchanges.
If you need more help, type HELP when a keyboard shows up and you'll get a super cheat hint. Only available in certain challenges.Notes1. I used the VAR TEMP_SYSBEEP method to control SYSBEEP, but if it's still not working, sorry.
2. _J is the Japanese version and you may delete it to save ~250KB.

I still feel like a beginner because I can't keep up with most of the topics here, especially SB bug reports - it's all Greek to me. But if it's about inventing and applying what I've already learned, I think I can do that.
Lots of serendipity happened in the creation of this game. I wanted to do a plain puzzle collection, but I saw the Ogiri theme and thought maybe I should just tack a ninja on it. So I flipped through the ninja sprites but somehow colored one of the cat's sprite red by accident. It looked meowgical and the idea of the story just popped into my head.
