DescriptionSingle player battle game against increasing numbers of school yard buddies in this winter season. (Please forgive the photos... I dont have homebrew / other for creating good screen captures. The graphics are nicer than the blur from my phone.)
Grab a hot cocoa thermos when you find one to replenish some warmth...
Download the project and load & run the "SNOW" file.InstructionsMove (left/right) with D-pad
Pack snowball by pulling down on D-pad... repeat for larger snowball
Change direction with [Y] button
Normal throw [A]
Lob [X]
Hold down either [A] or [X] to charge power of your throw.
Pick up a thermos of hot cocoa when you can to restore your "warmth"
A few notes on the "physics" in the game:
- larger snowballs will cause more "cold damage" to your opponents... but they also will not have as much velocity relative to your power charge
- when you throw a ball - it will account for your player's x-velocity at the time of release... so running towards your opponent will give you more speed on the throw. Conversely, back-pedaling will leave you often with an anemic throw
- as you dig in the same location -the elevation will decrease. You and your opponents can use this to an advantage to get behind a snow-wall for protection (be careful of the LOBs)
- there is no Angry-Birds-like angle control (in order to keep the game play simple.) Rather a lob releases at a high angle and a regular throw releases at a low angle. Adjust your snowball size, distance to opponent, and power of throw to get a better result.

They must be lactose intolerant! Seriously my goal was to give just enough help to the player alone and see how balanced the game felt.
In general the enemies could/should be much smarter but I ran out of time to tweak the AI.
