Holy crap, there's 10 pages with "Show twice as many posts", and 19 without! This is probably one of the longest threads on SBS!

HOMEBREW IS NOW AVALIBLE
goto homebrew site and it should say OOTHAX and BASEHAX
basehax-Homebrew on the Pokmon Omega and Alpha, you need the base and to rename it to do this.
OOTHAX- an Orcirina of Time exploit. you will need powersaves, and alot of random stuff.
basehax is the most recemonded [for good gamers]
What do you mean base has is recommended for good gamers, are you trying to offend people who played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time?
dafuq, no, infact i love that game, its just its the only way to get homebrew around here now a days, plus a new update came out. so if an exploit just came out, its gone

I've done it. The result is color-distorted, but it does work. Nothing special is required for SmileBASIC specifically.

I updated the firmware. It is currently at Ver. 11.2.0-35u
And another problem to deal with is, the (A) button is unresponsive/broken.
Is there any hope?

As far as I know, you're fine if you're below 11.4. As for the A button, wear and tear?

Soundhax was extremely surprisingly easy!
And what I meant about the A button, I know it's wear and tear. What I meant to ask was: "Is it possible to install the homebrew launcher without the use of the A button?"
Turns out, yes.

Sorry, link me to something that will teach me what CFW is?
EDIT: Do you mean "custom firmware"?

CFW is Custom Firmware. It opens you up to endless new possibilities from streaming to a PC to having the ultimate control over your files to piracy!
The rest is too lengthy to explain here, but you can read more on it as well as how to install it here.
Assuming you're using the old 3ds model, there shouldn't be any dangers to installing it. I do recommend doing it before any further system upgrade, since it as well as a few other CFW features such as NTR streaming were patched in the latest firmware version (11.4).
Good luck with your mission, should you choose to accept it!
Edit: now looking at what you put in, it seems my speech has been pointless. Oh, boo.

I was hoping you'd notice before you start writing to keep you from using up time, but my computer had IT Problems™ and couldn't post the edit sooner. lmao.
But I didn't know about streaming to a PC!
And btw I had such high hopes for the GBA emulator, it runs slow. //cri
Seriously I thought the o3ds would be fast enough lmao
EDIT: And I can't remap any of the buttons in the GBA emulator either. There's a menu but I think I need to press the A button to change the controls. ;u;
EDIT #2: I'm editing the GBA emulator's config file manually! Suck it Nintendo!
EDIT #3: But Nintendo I love you I just wanna play Mario Luigi Superstar Saga on the go again I love it so much ;v;

There are some PC tools ou can use to convert GBA ROMs to well-working Virtual Console cias. (Again, CFW.)

Really? So does that mean Virtual console releases aren't emulation? I assumed they were!

I'm not quite sure how it works, but it has something to do with far backwards compatibility which is why the Switch doesn't have the virtual console.
EDIT: as far as i can see, though, the VC creator doesn't save properly. So it's either save or sleed, yuu decide.

Recently, Nintendo banned a massive number of users from online services who were detected to have unauthorized modifications on their 3DS. This is not a NNID ban. This is a ban of your 3DS serial number. The news is just breaking, so not everything is known yet. The following excerpt is directly from the Nintendo Homebrew Discord
What we know for certain:
- People are getting banned
- It is by data, sent from your console to Nintendo.
What we think the cause is:
- Friend services sends Nintendo your currently playing title. If this includes a custom, homebrew or invalid title (not officially released by Nintendo) it triggers a ban.
- SpotPass periodically sends Nintendo "system information", including all installed titles, including homebrew, and the other shop.
- eShop, the home menu theme shop, and embedded/DLC eShop applet, may be reporting title information to Nintendo servers.
What we know it isn't:
- Homebrew itself.
- Sighax, boot9strap
- Arm9loaderhax
- Upgrading to boot9strap
- Running homebrew from an entrypoint in an official app, applet or game
What is risky:
- Running any game ROM backups, including your own game backups
- Installing and running any kind of CIA's
- Making a ROM backup from a game cartridge and installing it to NAND
- Installing homebrew to the home menu
- Running homebrew from the home menu
- Using the other shop or any ticket/titlekey managers
- Going on the eShop with homebrew installed to your home menu
- Leaving SpotPass on, or leaving Friend List "show currently playing game" on
- Using unofficial or pirated themes in CIA format (themes installed "raw" through Themely or similar should be fine)
Ways to mitigate:
- Avoid running homebrew from/installing homebrew to the home menu
- Turn off "Send System Data" in System Settings > Internet Connections > SpotPass
- Turn off "show currently playing game" in Friend List
If you have been banned recently, a Google Docs poll has been opened to gather information on those effected.
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScGKO2C90xqkBOU2N3Q-nf9corv0RzQxOzXLbbZ3CH4mfVqYQ/viewform?c=0&w=1If you are running CFW (Custom Firmware), banned or not, a Google Docs poll has been opened to collect information to solve the bans for everybody.
https://goo.gl/forms/0LUzvIqGrKokNxw03
Finally, a member of the Nintendo Homebrew Discord has a FAQ at this URL.
http://teamflare.win/banwave/faq/
Nintendo has been tagging people for possibly months; judging by reports of people being banned who hadn't used their 3DS for extended periods of time. If you haven't been banned yet, but feel like it's a possibility, here's a few suggestions that were already in that quote you might not have read yet.
(Ensure your 3DS cannot connect to the internet AT ALL for the following steps)
- Turn off "show currently playing game" in the friends list
- Disable sending system data to Nintendo in system settings, and games such as Kirby: Planet Robobot, Pokemon S&M, etc.
- Avoid running or installing CIAs under the home menu with CFW.
- Disable as many (or all) SpotPass and StreetPass features as possible.
- Turn off automatic downloads in the eShop
If you have further questions, the Nintendo Homebrew Discord can be joined through this link.

This doesn't apply/effect a homebrewed n3DS xl 11.4 right? I can only access HB through ninjahax, so I wouldn't think so, but I thought I'd ask...

Anyone with any mods are vunerable. I have CFW and sighax but not banned. Homebrew is probably less prone to Nintendo's banning but I think anything thing can happen. Your most likely safe, though we don't know what has given Nintendo the information, because you turned off data sharing. Theories say that Nintendo was picking up title ID's through it.
