Seriously, why isn't JQuery built in again?
That may be because JavaScript and JQuery were made by different people, and they're probably not affiliated with each other.

I know, but it seems like something that should come with browsers nowadays.

Languages:
SmileBASIC
Python
Java
Scratch (even if I’d never touched Scratch I’d still be allowed to list it)
Golang (just barely)
HTML5 (fun to mess around with)
Yeah this is pretty bare-bones and I might touch up on it in the future but meh.

#126✎ 87JayenkaiAge : 39. Definitely not 40.. yet... ugh..
Languages I count myself as "being good at"
Locomotive Basic (Amstrad CPC)
AMOS (Amiga)
QBasic (Dos)
BlitzBasic/Blitz3D/BlitzMax/Monkey-X(Windows)
C++ (Various)
PHP/html/JavaScript (WebDev)
And of course..
SmileBASIC (ds/3DS/but mostly the Switch one)
Over the decades I've dabbled in tons of other languages, but my "AGameAWeek" code style usually brings me back to whatever language I can use more swiftly. For me, speed of coding is more important than fancy effects and whatnot.

Programming Languages I know:
-C++ (Arduino, so this doesn't really count)
-Snek.
Languages I've touched:
-VB.NET/C#: I tried to make an XNA game with this, but honestly I don't really like either of these languages.
-Lua: NodeMCU. I used this in a project once. I'm not particularly fond of the Espressif modules since they tend to have poor documentation, at least datasheet-wise.
CircuitPython: I like the idea behind it (and the company), but at $12 for the entry-level board, it's just too expensive. I wouldn't say it's actually any simpler than Arduino; the only real advantage over Arduino IMO is the unified HAL.
-Java: Yeah, this is kind of in the same boat as C#.
Right now, I'm using Snek. It's a highly-optimized Python 3 subset meant for microcontrollers. I prefer it over CircuitPython since I can run it on AVR microcontrollers (328, 2560) and is easier to learn. It's not quite as mature as Micropython or Circuitpython (Mu doesn't even have upstream support for it), but I think the simplicity of it will lead to its spread. After all, it's designed by a teacher.
