Site update 12/3/15: You will need to clear cache to edit, delete, or quote posts!
  • Fixed bbcode lists so they now work (see http://smilebasicsource.com/forum?ftid=83)
  • Fixed some bits of forum styling so buttons didn't go all wonky (forum styling will get an update soon)
  • Fixed some margins here and there
  • Added [anchor] bbcode. Only works on pages (doesn't work on forums). Creates an anchor you can use to link sections of your page; you can wrap content in the anchor as well (you usually wrap headers or something). See http://smilebasicsource.com/forum?ftid=83
Edit: added the "anchor" bbcode

Site update 12/4/15:
  • Fixed resource image removal bugs
  • Added arrow and enter key navigation to the searchbar
  • Cleaned up some scripting (idk something might break)
  • Made it so you don't have to refresh without cache (I think)
  • Updated "about" page so the text isn't on a busy background.
  • Updated program and resource list styling (IDK what to do about the sorting width, but hopefully it looks better than before)
  • Moved the search bar up to the top bar so it's not floating around; made it grow or shrink when clicked.

Site update 12/11/15:
  • Completely rewrote page HTML and styling. Please let us know if you have any issues; we'll REALLY need to know your browser and device (and browser version, if you can)
  • Updated search system to give possibly better results (maybe)
  • Fixed some scripting issues somewhere (I don't remember where)
  • Added user account lockout to banning. It's optional.
  • Added new optional field to pages: can specify the original author if you're the translator
  • Updated user page, user home, and password reset styling

Hmmm I'm using Safari on an iPad, and only certain program pages seem to go all wonky. It only seems to affect pages with short instruction lists or notes lists, because the pages with larger lists can be seen fine. What happens to me is that the instructions and notes get moved to the left so that the keywords and stuff are on the same level as the instructions and things, except the keywords take up most of the space. I'll look into it; next time make sure to post on the bug reports thread though.

Works on New 3DS!

Awesome!

Site update 12/12/15:
  • Added ability to watch thread categories. For instance, now you can watch the "Programming Questions" category to see when new questions are asked. Watching a forum category will NOT give you notifications on every thread within the category; you will only get notifications when a new thread has been posted.
  • Added post number to forum posts. Number has a link to that post (now you can link posts directly without going to the history).

Site update 12/14/15:
  • Fixed user area glitches when clicking on links within the user area (it would shift to the side when loading a new page)
  • Rounded times so that they're closer to the actual time (for instance, 1.8 months will simply say 2 months). Not sure if this'll have any negative impacts...
  • Fixed empty boxes showing up on user homepages.

Site update 12/15/15:
  • FINALLY updated page submission styling so it didn't look like a total hack. Everything on the website should be styled at this point!
  • Updated some page submission scripting. If it's not working, reload without cache
I'm SO happy to finally have that styled!

That'll take a while (ironically). Uhhh maybe in a bit.

Site Update 12/16/15:
  • Added a holiday theme for... uh.... "winter". I don't want to call it Christmas in case you don't celebrate that. It's still being worked on, but you can get into the holiday spirit by typing winter into the special area of your user page.

Interesting, I thought it would be trivial to change. Could you please explain why it could take time, to please my curiosity? :)

The system is currently set up so that each page starts with the title "SmileBASIC Source", and then I append the crap afterwards. I did this because I wasn't thinking; it probably should've been a function. Anyway, I'd have to go through ALL the rendering pages and change it from appending to prepending. It's.... uh... nasty, because this was one thing I didn't refactor (I didn't think I had to). Some of our code is really nice and makes things easy to do, but others..... blegh.

Site update 12/17/15:
  • Complete chat styling rewrite. It should... work better maybe? If you're using an older browser (or like a Wii U or something), it will approximate the styling (since your super old browser doesn't support our relatively not old styling).
  • You can now see user menus in chat. You can now ignore on mobile
  • Finished the "winter" theme. Type winter into the special area on your user page to enable (it's underneath the avatar upload box). If you don't want the winter theme to automatically be applied over Christmas Eve and Christmas day, type "noholidays" into the special area instead.

Site update 12/18/15:
  • Fixed various chat styling issues. Chat should once again work on Wii U, and some issues were fixed with older browsers.
  • Made forum and page titles come first on the webpage title (suggested by NeatNit)
  • Further winter theme updates (type winter in the special area to enable, or noholidays to disable on the 24th and 25th)
  • Minor styling updates.
  • Events happening REALLY recently (like posts you JUST made) will show "moments ago" instead of "0 seconds ago".
  • Fixed a REALLY old bug where post links on threads wouldn't set the current page number correctly. For instance, if you clicked on a forum post from the history, the list of pages wouldn't mark the current page.

EDIT: You probably already know about this assuming what was said in the staff tab earlier. Just thought I'd provide a shot in the wild I guess.
