Site update 11/20/15: -Added reminder about case-sensitive usernames when you fail a login -Added username to password reset email -Fixed visual errors with stupidly long messages (comments and history) -Other stuff I forgot about.

Site update 11/21/15: -You can delete your comments now IF it's not a root comment OR there are no replies -BBcode works on comments now -Various styling updates --Consistent page margins --Better page margins on mobile (maybe?) --Moved forum header text around so it fits better. --Moved forum page indicator around so it fits better --Fixed forum bug where editing then cancelling messed up the textbox --Fixed user area register button bug --Updated register styling so it wasn't horrendous --Made space for extra forum information on category and thread lists, this will look weird right now because there's nothing there to fill the space. One day we'll have stuff like popular threads, recent threads, etc. --Added swag to the program list and site buttons --Forced space on the homepage so you can always scroll the main page rather than the history --Fixed [code] bbcode in comments I know I'm supposed to be working on notifications, but this turned out to be more important because of abusive comments. Yes, notifications are kind of "in the middle" of being implemented, which is why we have a "watch" button that just gives errors. Comment editing should come soon; all the framework is there, I just don't have the front end.

Site update 11/22/15 -You can now set the tagline for your program (the little description that shows up when searching for programs). It's in the "optional" settings when editing the page, but you have to reload without cache in order for it to work. If one isn't given, the beginning of the original description is used (like it was before). Remember to reload without cache (ctrl-f5 for most of you) if you want to be able to set the tagline.

Site update 11/23/15: -Fixed up the history bug with the ampersands and weird characters -Fixed length detection in shortened descriptions -Gave all buttons a standard font size, padding, etc. -Made the "edit" link on pages a button -Fixed weird text color on certain buttons on certain browsers -Added the notification system. Simply watch a page and you'll start receiving notifications when something happens on that page. There's only two things you can watch right now: threads and program/resource pages. In the future I may allow you to watch entire thread categories for new threads, etc. The styling for notifications is not final and there may be bugs; please let us know if you have any issues (if anyone is even reading this)

Site update 11/24/15: It's all just chat changes -Moved private messages to a module in chat -Can create private rooms using a command -Can leave a private room using a command -Private rooms stick around for a whole day of inactivity now -Chat history fixed; old messages will persist in old tabs (like SmileBASIC) for at least a day, no matter how many total messages the chat receives. Update 2: Oof, I'm not sure if we need to put a disclaimer for this and an opt-out option... I'll look it up. Anyway, we (like probably every other website ever) now keep track of the pages you visit on our website. This will give us a better idea about what is being used so we can focus our attention on the things getting the most use. This will also let us give you better search suggestions when the search system is revamped, and may allow us to give you suggestions on programs based on your viewing history (which will only be useful when we have tons of awesome programs...). We do not use cookies to track you and we do not send your information to some third party analytics company. The ONLY thing we keep track of are the pages you view when logged in (and some pages when you're not logged in). Not so bad, right? Transparency is good, right? If you have more questions, feel free to ask them (just not here). Edit: We don't need to disclose nor create an opt-out option for tracking when no third party is involved. Oof, seriously? That's lame.

are you doing a christmas theme yet or are you doing it on december 1st?

never.

nice way to put it softly

Maybe its gunna be a surprise :p

Eh, it makes sense. Everything done on your website has, by definition, to go through your server, and you can manage and/or gather and/or use the data that you automatically have access to, in any way you want. I dunno, it makes sense to me.

Site update 12/1/15: -Finally added popular threads to the forum lists. Your screen needs to be wide enough to view them, otherwise they fall to the bottom. If you have issues, let us know in the bug reports thread -Added titles to forums so they save to disk with the forum title -Fixed comment images -Fixed phantom notifications -Fixed persisting username case sensitivity reminder

Sensitivity? Why?

Sensitivity? Why?
He's insensitive.

Site Update 12/2/2015: -Updated algorithm for thread popularity -Increased database speed for popularity searching (you guys won't see any difference, sorry) -Added popular landing points to the homepage. If the popular pages take up too much space, let us know and we can reconfigure it. Alternatively, if you don't like the styling, we can come up with something else. I used this styling so that quite a few links fit on page page, but didn't take up too much room and didn't leave spaces on the edges. IDK maybe we can think of something else if it's problematic

What if there were fewer popular points visible at first? To me, it feels a little busy. Its hard to scan that many different things with my eyes in one line. EDIT: Maybe what it needs is more padding... which also means fewer pages...

Updated with your points in mind Edit: added that coloration thing that you suggested in the chat. IDK, I might figure out something else... I don't think I like coloring the whole box. I should set up a thread or something so people can talk about how they want popular pages displayed.

Yay thank you Random for giving us these awesome gifts! You're the best!

Lol you're welcome! I updated the styling so it (hopefully) looks nicer. We'll see I guess.

Liking the new update keep it up :D
