SUBMISSION DEADLINE:December 31st, 2017 11:59pm EST (absolutely no extensions)
VOTING DEADLINE:January 7th, 2018 midday (12:00pm) ESTHOW TO SUBMIT:Submit page to the Programming Contest categoryTheme:Free/None. You don't have to follow a theme this time, but if you need inspiration, you can follow the theme of "white".
Existing Code:Libraries only. You can use pre-existing libraries that are publicly available (they have a key), but you can't use any other pre-existing code/projects/etc. You must program the whole thing now.
Existing Assets:Allowed. You can use any graphics or audio created at any time. Use other's assets with permission, please.
Prizes:1st place: $40 USD, 2nd place: $20 USD
(Prize value is in US dollars and can be given in Steam credit, Nintendo eShop credit, Amazon credit, or something else that's doable. Subject to availability; participants outside the US may have limited options (usually only gifted Steam games work)).
After the submission period ends at the end of the year, voting will be open until midday on January 7th. You can vote for as many submissions as you like, but try to keep it down to your 3 favorites. I don't care if you vote for your own program.
Programs that AREN'T in the Programming Contest category will not be counted when the submission ends. Posting your program in this thread does not count as a submission.
Don't wait till the last minute!

One detective, One crook, and One man.
when a man is asked by unknown sources to cut power to a building for a hefty amount of money, he soon realizes what is happening but goes with it, after he later does it he is soon on his way home from work, but during his drive he is stopped because of a police shootout, soon realizing what is happening he takes a turn for the worst.
He takes part in helping the police take down the criminal network responsible for a recent string of crimes, join us on this game as we are taken to the farthest depths of the criminal network and follow along as the story gets push smaller because of time limits and watch as you get a small 10 minute game with ONLY ONE CRIME
(THAT LAST PART WAS A JOKE BTW)

I've become pretty familiar with coding, but what is a library? For dummies.
A library is a collection of reusable functions and code in general. For instance, this website uses a bbcode library to parse the bbcode because I didn't want to write it myself.
