Well, what's that one program? Petitmonderm? I heard someone got an error on there 3ds...
We won't be using sound communication for redemption of coins. We'll be using keys that you will type into the website to redeem them, and for getting programs, we'll be using a custom sound format
?
Do you wanna help with development?

Sorry can't I don't have a PC ATM(sorry for late message my tab died)

This is a bad idea in every way. Good thing you'll never release it, then.

i will personally crusade against this and get sb to pull anything you submit along these lines

I meant for SB, but okay

Nobody cares about your opinion, and me and NateDogg got RICE6, the most secure version of RICE yet, up and running, so we won't need a cryptographer for now

You're a dick. Would you like it if I got SB to pull your software?

oh hey it's this guy again if you guys don't like it, don't use it. i haven't seen a single person properly argue against him, which should be pretty easy if it's a "bad idea in every way"

So eshop for SB
Yep!

being as i dont ever plan to upload things, il take enjoyment from being the reportshark the more you squirm and complain the better it is for me

cryptocurrency dont retain value past 3 years, with less adopters daily

That's irrelevant. This is BASIC, remember. What's wrong with doing things like this for fun. The purpose isn't to be a real currency, the principle is in using SmileBASIC to unlock some content outside of the app.

Thank you, that's exactly what we're doing: extending the boundaries of a simple BASIC program

I meant for SB, but okay How?

Okay, so imagine I have some project. I am considering somehow using ShadowCoins, in, about, or around the project. Why should I? Sell me on this idea.

Well, first of all, you'd have a simple, generalized way of using some sort of currency between software. You could earn coins by using micro transactions in your app, and use it to gain API access to ShadowCoins. You'd be using a new technology, possibly the future of SmileBASIC programs. You could use the ShadowCoins for your own website and use it to benefit from advertising. You wouldn't be using any money, just simple digital cryptocurrency. Finally, you'd get free access to RICE6, the latest incarnation of RICE that isn't shit. You'd get all benefits, the only downsides are if the server goes down or you don't have internet access of any sorts, you won't be able to do ShadowCoin transactions, and that you'd be using proof-of-concept software (unless it's a full release).

Perhaps you should make the code a 5 digit alphanumeric serial number (are 60466176 combos enough?) and have it shipped along with a number (00000000-60466176), and have the number and serial # privately hosted and then transact by seeing if the sent num and serial match, then randomize the shadowcoin serial again, and send it to the other wallet. 3DS shadowcoin data transferred to website and submitted, server checks shadowcoin credibility, randomize shadowcoin data, and sends it to receiver. If the serial # and # don't match 3 times, then blocked for a day.

Do you mean to say, I could have an in-game currency, which is the same kind of currency that can be 'earned' and 'spent' in games that other people write?

Okay, here are some real questions: 1. How do you intend to have SmileBASIC communicate with your server? 2. A lot of this sounds like it's not thought out all the way through. I'm not saying that it's definitely not, but it sounds like it. Do you have any more details for how would this be used? For example, mock-up SmileBASIC code that would make use of this library. 3. Do you intend to mix real-world money with this or not? I can't figure this out from your other posts. Sorry for my negativity/dickity earlier but I really can't see this happening. Prove me wrong and I'll praise you for it!

I'm sorry, but despite how impressive it would be if you pull this off, this is a bad idea because: A) No one would want to use it. No one is going to want to pay for SmileBASIC games and apps. The point of SB is to share games with each other free of charge. Plus this overall just seems really sketchy and no one would ever want to jump through all the hoops required. B) You could get yourselves, or even SmileBOOM, in serious trouble. Seriously, can you imagine of some kid's parents find out he just bought "shadow coins" to buy games that should have been free in the first place? It's a complete misuse and abuse of SmileBASIC, and I for one don't want SmileBOOM to get sued and be forced to shut down the servers.

1. Well, we'll be using a key system. You type it into the website for communications, and you'll get a key back. The data will never be able to be decrypted client side, though you could fake having money, but it wouldn't change how much you have server side. 2. We're still trying to figure things out, yeah, but currently we have Node.js code we're porting to SB. For example, one of our libraries will allow us to use MVC, or Multi Value Compression, on all the pieces of data we'll be storing. We'll also be using RICE6, which is more secure and can't really be broken unless you have a key. Here's a sample output that, if decrypted, results in "Wow": $RICE6.{0019-0020-0027} No matter what you do, good luck getting the data from the key. To make sure that everything's kept safe, we will be adding local multiplayer sending of coins, but it will only be temporary. Only if the data is valid will the user officially get coins. 3. NOOOOOOOOOO! We are not going to use this as a chance to get money! This is just a project, not a business. If we were, we'd probably donate to a charity of some sort, but we are NOT going to let you buy stuff with real money!!!

A) We aren't using this for programs. We're doing this for maybe freenium games. We will never make a user have to use coins to do something important! B) First of all, you cannot buy ShadowCoins with real money. You get 1 coin every day, and in supported software, you can deposit money into your online account. And if SmileBoom does take it down, we'll release the source code and you can use PetitModem or PetitEditor. We have at least that part mapped out.
