So I literally just got smile basic and I'm about to open it for the first time!! Wish me luck that I don't screw anything up! :)

Cool! I hope you enjoy it!

Alright, nice! If you're looking for some cool programs, I suggest starting with https://smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=42, alright?

Thanks! I'm completely new to the language basic, is there anywhere I can learn how to code with it?

Alright... Your best bet is probably reading through the online manual and playing around with the built-in samples, alright, or through randomouscrap's tutorial series: https://smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=403 right. That is, SmileBASIC is a very particular dialect of a larger family of "BASIC" languages, so the usefulness of nonspecific tutorials will vary greatly. Alright?

Check out petit professor on you tube he has great tutorials.

Thanks Komodo! I'll check it out!

No problem.

No problem.
Actually, i already finished his tutorials for beginners, and the rest are way too confusing! Is there anywhere else I can learn SmileBASIC?

You can always ask people here, or look on the FAQ. Don't be afraid to ask, our tiny community ismostly free of too much toxicity, and there are plenty of people here who know how to work with SB at a much higher level than most, so I'm sure you can find an answer to any of your questions!

Just ask people here and on miiverse how to do things. But mostly look at other people's programs and try to find out how different things work. (Press the help button often). Thats how I learned (and still am learning).

But, it seems like it's not like I need help with code, I just need to learn the language! So there are no websites? Or online tutorials?

Lumage gave you the link to the manual. http://smilebasic.com/en/reference Because this is modified basic there are no straight up SmileBASIC tutorials the same way there are with other languages. Yet. Lumage also linked you to randomouscrap 's tutorials. If you can find more please let us know. You aren't the only one still learning.
