Petit Computer US Sample Programs

Root / Submissions / [.]

HTV04Created:
Version:v1.2Size:1 MB
IMPORTANT: Move the packages to separate new projects before unpacking them. Otherwise, their contents will overwrite each other. The first and third versions of this project are now in the same project, only taking up one key! Changelog:
  • v1.2
    • Added _RUNME_ file
    • Fixed some programs (I forgot which, but most text-based programs work now)
    • SAMPLE5 (Biorhythm) now has the correct colors
  • v1.1
    • Fixed GAME1
    • Fixed SAMPLE1
    • Fixed SAMPLE5
  • v1.0
    • Release
Note: This changelog file can also be found in the _RUNME_ file. These are all of the Petit Computer sample programs (provided by ChangeV) which have been converted using this tool: http://smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=713. This is a work in progress, meaning that most of the programs don't work, but will soon be updated in the coming days.

Instructions:

Download the project and then execute any program (some don't work as of now, but I will soon fix this).

Notes:

I'll always include version v1.0 of this project because any future updates will have the programs' code edited in order to work, and v1.0 has only converted code with no edits. I made this to make it easy for people to access Petit Computer's sample files. For example, one may use this if they didn't have Petit Computer originally or didn't want to go through the process of sending the programs via PetitModem (or any other transferring utility) and then converting it. Thanks to ChangeV (http://smilebasicsource.com/user/ChangeV), I was able to obtain the original sample files without having Petit Computer. For download links to these programs (and the original sprites, backgrounds, etc.), go here: http://smilebasicsource.com/forum?fpid=14775#post_14775. If it weren't for ChangeV, I couldn't've made this, so thank ChangeV for helping me out and making this project possible. Also, I'll make a JP version of this soon (maybe in the coming weeks). Maybe I'll also make a hybrid for the missing programs in the US version, but that will be done at a later date.

Have I heard correctly? MEGAMAN IS COMING!?!?!?
If pnm can decompress it, and I can somehow port it, then yes.

YEEEEY MEGAMAN CONFIRMEEEED (Thanks, HTV04)

I'm not saying it's confirmed; I'm just saying that if pnm can decompress it, I could try to port it. I don't know if it's going to be possible because PTC has a pallete system, unlike SB.

Just saying it would be possible, but with illuminati confirmed style

Still needs better optimization. Issues found:
  • "SCRED", "CHRED", "DRWED", "GRPED", "SAMPLE9", GAME3, GAME4, GAME5 and some others may instantly crash upon activation
  • GAME2 is invisible (no walls seen)
  • GAME1 "skips" all of the levels forcefully (for some reason?)

Did you try the newer version? Two versions are included in the project, v1.0 is the older one, v1.2 is the newer one.

I think so?
