Japan release postponed to Summer 2016.
Twit here.
All they do is postpone their things.

I'm still miffed at the rushed, buggy 3.3.0 US release, but whelp, the longer they wait to fix the longer you EU guys will have to wait I guess.
Guess EU ver is not until Fall, hopefully before NX.

Is there any way to confirm or deny this or is this your hunch? As far as I can tell SmileBoom hasn't even said the word Europe since last October. :(

#24✎ 2GeekDudeFor super quick and easy transfer from PC to WiiU I'd imagine something like the "USB Rubber Ducky" could come in handy. It's a device used for pen testing generally, that can automate keystrokes (which is useful for transferring code). Upside is it's premade and fits in the form factor of a USB flash drive. Downside is it's $45 and not networked, so you would have to swap MicroSD cards a lot.

That's actually a really smart idea! We'll have to see what else the keyboard input can do for us when SmileBASIC BIG is released.

#27✎ 1092YolkaiHead AdminSome new relevant tweets have been made, which I have made an attempt to translate.
Thank you! Actually, since they're handled by different development teams, there's no influence from SMILE GAME BUILDER on [SmileBASIC for WiiU] progress, but because Wii U development was having unexpected difficulties... Always having to wait longer
Good morning. Sorry to have kept you waiting. Development has continued this morning. It simply takes more time than expected to perform the operations testing for more advanced environments than the 3DS (such as two screen simultaneous display and increased resolution with the GamePad). Somehow, barely by Summer in the Southern Hemisphere...*
*tn: obviously, Winter for most of us. I think this is a joke about how a Summer release was predicted, so Kobayashi is joking that "it'll be Summer... in the southern hemisphere"

You're just happy to see the update, until it's telling you about delays.

(Anyway... I hope SB doesn't turn out like scribblenauts did, with the 3DS version missing many of the features that the Wii U game had)

XON WIIU enables Wii U features.
Sprite limit up from 512 to 4096 (!!!)
Supports off-TV mode; entire UI displays on gamepad
