SmileBASIC on sale -- 50%

Root / General / [.]

YolkaiCreated:
From today (14th March) until next Monday (21st March), SmileBASIC is 50% off on the North American eShop. $4.99 is an amazing price for this software so get it on extra systems while you can. Also, the 3.3.0 update will be released some time after the 18th, so watch for more information on that shortly.

There is no excuse for anyone with a 3DS to not buy SmileBASIC right now!

There is no excuse for anyone with a 3DS to not buy SmileBASIC right now!
Which is why this post is on a forum where people already have it, of course.

BUY IT NOW! it's great.

I'm gonna go ahead and buy this on my bro's New 3DSXL. Maybe get my cousin to get it, too. There's literally no excuse to not buy it at that price, as it can basically replace at least half of the apps on the eShop, and already has a handful of great games.

This was actually announced at GDC today, apparently. @smilebasic_com sent it out 2 hours ago. It lasts until March 21st PDT. US, Canada, and Mexico only.

Maybe I can finally convince my friends/family to get it! Or even get it for them, if I really want them to have it.

Yay! People can join and hopefully not make more OSs!

You mean a fake Siri, YouTube, and email isn't cool?!?! :P

LARGE AMOUNTS OF EXCITEMENT

Is there any way to buy download codes on the eshop so you can give a game to your friend?

Unfortunately no. We can only gift codes from the website, not from eShop where the same game can't be bought twice, but SB is not available on Ninty's site.

Awesome! I've been trying to get my friend to buy it, but he won't! Maybe he will now. I've been trying to tell him that it's like a game you buy once and get tons more games for free out of it.

I finally convinced my friend to get SmileBASIC!!

Oh i got mine for 0.00$. Huahahahahahahahahahah!

Not a thing you want to boast about.

Well I purchased mine on day 1 and shared it on that iso site, hah

Please do not stray from the thread topic.

Well, I might as well use this thread as a welcome thread of sorts. I'm one of the people that bought this game on sale. I have minimal experience at coding. The last programming I ever did was in computer science in grade 9 with VisualBasic. That was over a decade ago. So I'm basically a ground zero noob when it comes to coding. I put together a basic calculator that you guys probably can make in your sleep while drunk. But it's a start. Eventually I want to learn how to make it a touch screen graphics interface calculator. My other goals are also fairly simple goals. Achievable goals. I want to create a text adventure and a video blackjack game. After that the word is my oyster. Lately I've been getting out of playing videogames in favor of "real world" hobbies like Remote Control airplanes, trucks, etc and metal detecting. There's high concentrations of gold in my area and I'm also thinking of trying out gold panning.

Well, you're the best "minimal experience at coding" person we've seen so far.
